Savinho: Spurs get their here we go

The deal

CaughtOffside reports that Romano's here we go confirmation is in, which in transfer terms is about as close to a done deal as you get before the medical. Spurs and City have agreed terms verbally, and Savinho is heading to north London. The full fee and contract length have not yet been confirmed by the source.

What Savinho brings

Savinho is direct, fast, and awkward to defend in tight spaces, the kind of winger who makes full-backs nervous before kick-off. At City he was used selectively, but his pace and ability to carry the ball in transition are exactly the tools De Zerbi tends to build around. A coach who wants his wide players to be active, unpredictable and capable of creating something from nothing: Savinho fits the brief.

What it says about Spurs this summer
